Meet and Greet to tour the library and collaborate with their wonderful staff!

The Literacy & S.T.E.M. Experience Book Tour travels throughout the year to libraries across the United States to share the fun educational connection between literacy and S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).  Participants will learn about basic S.T.E.M. principles and hear details about the learning journey of 9-year-old Ava N. Simmons, aka Ava the S.T.E.M. Princess®.  Ava will share the positive impact she experienced using S.T.E.M. activities to improve her critical thinking, math, and literacy skills, which helped her overcome her reading challenges.  We conduct Meet & Greets,  read excerpts from S.T.E.M. books and/or conduct hands-on S.T.E.M. experiments with participants.  Ava and her Team Genius Squad assistants will combine fun and creativity to help children learn the importance of literacy and S.T.E.M. and to share her message to, “never let your challenges define your future!”.
